Immediately upon entering The Highland, the space invokes an instant sense of tranquility. The lobby boasts a biophilic design and subdued natural palette with soft wood, slatted ceilings, and a marble reception desk. The focal point of the lobby is a lounge area enveloped by towering plants and lush greenery as well as a mail room, and separate package room.
THE RESIDENT LOUNGE & BUSINESS CENTER
The second floor lounge doubles as both a coworking space and ideal area to relax and unwind. The space includes a couch, lounge chairs, television, and cozy fireplace.
The business center offers a co-working area with large tables, and a separate conference room with a television.
THE TERRACES
The amenity spaces are connected to two sprawling outdoor terraces which are true oases. Each terrace includes lounge chairs, couches, benches, bar dining, bistro tables, a pergola, and grilling stations with BBQs. The terraces are complete with lush planters, walls of greenery, perennials, a succulent garden, and IP wood plank flooring flanked by soft accent lighting. A separate outdoor lounge is also available for residents to rent for private social gatherings.
THE CHILDREN’S INDOOR & OUTDOOR PLAY AREA
The children’s playroom includes various play areas as well as books, toys, a table, rocking chairs, a television, and a chalkboard wall. The outdoor play area offers the ideal space for children to get plenty of exercise. FITNESS CENTER
The Highland features both indoor and outdoor fitness areas. The indoor fitness center is open and airy and includes top-of-the-line equipment with treadmills, ellipticals, exercise bikes, adjustable benches, trainer machines, accessory racks, and dumbbell racks. The outdoor fitness space includes fitness equipment from Swedish company Fitnessguru® as well as training racks and a yoga area.
ROOFTOP LOUNGE
The rooftop lounge is the ideal place to soak up the sun and take in views of the Atlantic Ocean, Ridgewood Reservoir, and Rockaway Beach. The rooftop includes a bar and dining area, daybeds, chaise lounge chairs, a separate meditation area, and a sunbathing lounge. The palatial and sumptuous design mirrors that of the second floor terrace with lush planters, walls of greenery, perennials, a succulent garden, and IPE wood plank flooring with soft accent lighting.
